"Hi I am Megan a full time TK/Kindergarten Teacher for the past 12 years and a mom. I started TPT as a way to share my resources and make extra money for my family. I opened my store in January 2024 with only my knowledge from being a buyer on TPT throughout my teaching career. My first few months I made a few dollars here and there. I had lots of ideas, but wasn’t making many sales and was not confident I ever would, especially for the amount of time creating resources takes.

       I first saw Malia on instagram and was immediately watching all her reels, visiting her blog and reading any emails she posted with TPT store advice. I was so so grateful for her help. Then I found out she had not only a course, but a coaching program. At first I was hesitant to invest any more in my side hustle, but I am so beyond glad I did. Lisa's Course & Group Coaching Experience: 

"I am a lone teacher (turned tutor) from Wales, England. I had been creating resources on TPT since August 2023 and was starting to get a little frustrated that my products weren't selling. 

I had listened to podcasts from experienced sellers, joined Facebook groups, talked all the advice that was offered, but sales were still slow. I had talked one of Malia's free trainings and things seemed to improve. I saw her advert for the New Teacher Seller course, but couldn't justify the cost. How much more could she tell me anyway? I've done all the research! 

Finally, I decided to take the leap. I had to invest in myself If I wanted to make this work! I had been sooo wrong! The New Teacher Seller course is amazing! I jumped into it straight away by watching the training modules - the videos are packed full of information about all aspects of TPT! Malia also keeps them updated as TPT changes which has been invaluable!  

We looked at setting up a store, creating a brand, what to include in resources, cover photos, thumbnails, previews, and product descriptions, … with so many tips on how to streamline the process saving me endless hours and that was just for starters! Malia has also helped me to understand the best way to market my resources and to make the most of the opportunities within TPT itself. I have learned how to track the data effectively to help me make informed choices about changes that need to be made.

The community Malia has created with our NTS group has been so supportive. I have made good friends across the world who understand what the life of a TPT Seller is like! Celebrating each other's TPT wins and supporting each other through the difficult days of updating what we had already created has helped so much. I would have given up a long time ago without them – especially through the Summer slowdown! Malia is so patient and explains everything clearly. No question is silly! (sometimes I thought I was putting this idea to the test, but I have never felt embarrassed to ask her!). The store and product audits have been so useful! Little tweaks have made all the difference!

What about the earnings? In the 8 months before the course, I made $720. I matched that within 4 months of joining the course, despite the Summer slowdown! (See the graphs below) 

What are the downsides to the course? For me, it’s the time difference between the US and the UK. I haven’t been able to join the fortnightly meetings because I can’t stay awake until the early hours! However, Malia has always made sure I have been included by discussing questions I have in the videos and making sure the recordings are available. I can contribute to the group chat too.

The NTS course has been a life-changing experience, and I will be very sad to say goodbye."
